ANDY & Lisa GOSSETT

SENIOR PASTOR

Hope Family Fellowship is the heartbeat of founding pastor Andy Gossett and his wife Lisa Gossett.

As a child growing up in East Texas, Pastor Gossett’s grandmother would take him to church; it was not until he reached a crisis point in his life as a young man of 20 that he fully committed himself to the Lord. Andy immediately felt a call to preach and in the fall of 1985 he enrolled in Texas Bible College. It was during his time at TBC, at a crusade in St. Martinville Louisiana, that he met Lisa. Not long after, in August of 1986, they were married.

After Andy’s graduation in 1988, the Gossetts felt God calling them to plant a church in Oswego, NY. They pastored there for three years. After a brief move to LA, the Gossetts returned to NY to assist and later pastor the church in Cortland, NY.

In 2004, after five years as the pastor in Cortland Andy felt God calling them to Texas. Though initially hesitant to leave the growing church in Cortland, Andy knew they would follow where God would lead.

They moved to Lufkin, Texas and served in leadership under Pastor David Hunt for many years. During this period, unaware of how God was dealing with the Gossetts, Donnie Huslage, pastor of Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Georgetown, was looking for someone to plant an additional church in the city. Pastor Huslage reached out to Andy, his good friend from TBC, and Hope Family Fellowship was founded in 2012 as a daughter-work of ALC. In 2014 Hope Family Fellowship became autonomous.

Lisa Gossett grew up in Louisiana as the sixth of seven children. Her family was won to the Lord after her brother attended a revival in Baton Rouge. As the founding pastor’s wife, Lisa has laid the groundwork for most of the ministries of Hope Family. She continues to serve as the children’s Sunday School director and leads as part of the worship team. Andy and Lisa have three grown children (and a wonderful daughter-in-law) who are all serving the Lord in various capacities in Texas and Nebraska. They are also the proud grandparents of two. Pastor Gossett has been a licensed minister with the UPCI for over 30 years.

JONATHAN & Sara BERNARD

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Growing up, Jonathan and Sara found places to serve in the work and ministry of New Life Austin, the church his parents began in 1992.

Together they also helped the daughter work planted by Melvin and Lisa Reddy in Cedar Park. Feeling God leading them towards pastoral ministry, Jonathan was formally licensed as a minister by the UPCI in 2017. In early 2019 the Bernards ministered at Hope Family Fellowship and immediately felt a connection to the Gossetts and their love for the city of Georgetown. In March of 2019 they joined the leadership team. Jonathan serves as Assistant Pastor. In addition to helping to teach and preach, he has a love for worship through music. He plays various musical instruments and helps his wife as she leads the music team.

Sara serves as the Music Director and as a teacher. Sara finds joy in creating opportunities for people to get connected to each other, and most importantly, to God. She also loves children and is a homeschooling parent to their own three.

DARRELL & MIchelle PiercE

Men’s & Ladies' Ministry

Darrell and Michelle Pierce are founding, faithful members of Hope Family Fellowship and have played a vital role in its leadership since the very beginning.

Their continual support, encouragement, and strength have made Hope Family Fellowship a reality. Darrell serves as leader of the men's ministry and works to plan events to connect the men of Hope. He also helps to lead our Sunday services in opening prayer and worship.

Michelle enjoys planning events for the ladies, but also serves in various other roles within the church: she teaches children's Sunday School, plays the piano, and sings as a part of the worship team. In addition to serving, Darrell and Michelle enjoy spending time with friends and family-- especially their grandchildren.
